First of all, please speak with a healthcare professional about your feelings if you haven't done so already. Secondly, when trying to find your "one thing," think about anything you enjoy or look forward to doing - no matter how small. Recall things you're good at. For me, I think about how much I enjoy certain holidays and reading and writing. I also love to cook and bake and find those to be nice distractions when I feel like harming myself. I remind myself of my gifts in writing and teaching. You, too, can find your one or more reasons to keep going. Hold on. I know it's dark now, but there are brighter days ahead. Never give up.
